Vinegar is the best for it. Apple cider vinegar is also much better than white vinegar. They do not distill the apple cider vinegar so it is completely organic.

AllDown Green Chemistry Herbicide was the first organic herbicide developed. It is approved for using on organic crops and will not kill earthworms or beneficial bacteria. AllDown will not cause harmful soil residues.

The use of a soap and water mixture sprayed on plants will keep insects away. The use of talcum powder is another good source. Just sprinkle on leaves and bugs will not touch the plant, and these are safe around pets and children.

Regular distilled white household vinegar makes a good weed killer. It's about $1.50 a quart compared to roundup. And you don't have to worry about the kids playing around it.

There are several types of organic herbicides to choose from. "Nature's Avenger" and Garden Safe" are a few by name. Vinegar can also be used. These types of products have a tendency to not work quite as well on tough weeds.
