Have you considered using a routine application of bleach? Bleach is often accepted as a qualified agent for mold mitigation in commercial buildings.

While working construction we refinished a log cabin that was near a lake. So the mold was horrible. We first use a log cleaner to remove not only the mold on the surface but below also. We then added a product called stay-clean. You just add it to the stain its that easy.
