All the vets that I have been to swear by iams or eukenuba. Science diet is also a very good food for dogs. The thing you want to look out for is the local brand or store brand is usually not good at all.

Iams and Eukanuba both make excellent dry dog foods, although they are expensive. Purina One is also very good and is a little more afforable.

Iams for full range of foods from puppies to adults. High energy dogs require high energy foods. Iams also offers foods for couch potatos.

I find that Purina ONE, chicken flavor, is the best dry dog food. It's high protein. High Protein is a good thing for a dog like a lab. A lab is an active dog and the high protein diet is a good thing. My lab always gobbled up the chicken flavor.

There are a number of premium dog foods on the market. Read labels and avoid things like corn, meat by products, gluten. For budget, Kirkland Signature is a good product.

Any high quality dog food will help maintain your dog's health. Some Labs (and other dogs) have wheat allergies, so you want to avoid food with wheat. Also, dogs do not digest corn, so it is basically just a filler -- adding to output with no real benefit to your pet. Poultry and rice are high quality ingredients for dogs.

If you are looking for the best food for dogs RAW is the best. Dogs can not process corn based dog foods on the market today. Just like humans we cant process corn. Try choosing from a number of grain free dog foods such as the Wellness Core, Merrick, and Evo. Look for ingredients that start with meat or chicken.

We used to give our lab Nutro Ultra but it started getting expensive so we switched to IAMS. IAMS seems to work just as well and cost almost half as much. They have different types of food for different types of body conditions. Our dog is a little heavy and benefits from their Pro-Active food.

Royal Canine for Labs is a great choice. It is very healthy and suggested by many vets. It is centered towards the breed so it has all the nutrients that labs need.

A more expensive food such as Iams or Science Diet are very good foods for Labradors. If you feed them the prescribed amount and minimize treats, your dog should be very healthy. The more expensive feeds have more protein and less filler. These premium feeds are better on digestion systems.

Believe it or not, Eukanuba has a food specifically formulated for labradors. It costs a bit more than their regular large breed dog food though.

Every kind of food should be ood for a yellow Labradors... Just go with the one you think is the best. There is not a better mark of food for dog but your winner if you go with bio food for dog. Except if you want to save the most money as possible then go with less expensive dog food!
