Assume you'll spend $75-$100 per day on gas (depending on the car you drive and the distance) and $50–$100 per night for lodging. $35 per person per day for food

i went for 30 days, 10,000 miles and spent about $1,800. 3 friends in one '93 saab. we mapped out places we wanted to see and places we knew people so we didn't have to spend $$ on a hotel every night. Also camped a few times! Have fun!

Well, this is tricky, it all depends on what type of vehicle you have, and how many miles you plan on driving each day. Using an average car as a barometer, for a cross country trip, and staying at budget hotels, I would say $2,000 would be a conservative round trip figure.

Your budget depends on your personal needs and whether you will be sharing the driving with anybody else? Consider whether you will need a hotel for a few nights. Do you plan to stop a lot along the way? What about food? The price of gas and the mileage economy of your vehicle will impact the budget as well.

If you're in Litchenstein, you can do it for about 15 Euro. If you're in Russia, it will be a few more. In the US, I would budget approximately $828 (more if you drive an SUV)

For gas, budget (length of the trip/car's fuel economy)* current gas prices. Hotel and road food costs depend on where you are going and how long it will take.

To travel across the country would be very expensive. And how its possible to drive so much? Won't you get tired? I think its not possible.
