A fuel efficient vehicle would have to be the ford econetic. It has been rated better than a prius. They are a diesel so that is fairly cheap too. They are alot cheaper to buy than the prius too.

How much are you wanting to tow? You can not have brute power AND fuel efficiency in the same motor. I have seen Honda Civic's pulling small trailers, though.

1990 to 2000 Nissan Pathfinders are generally extremely fuel efficient when towing. While they are not towing they get around 30 miles to the gallon and while they are (depending on the load) get around 20 miles to the gallon.

Depends on how much weight your towing and how much money you wanna spend. I would get a newer Chevy Duramax diesel. Then chip it. It would have all the power you would need and get great mileage, if thats to much money then a older dodge with cummins diesel.

Any type of diesel tow truck that uses a low grade engine. i.e. a 3.7 Liter or a v8 at most, shop around and see if you can't find one for a reasonable price.

The fuel efficient tow vehicle is the one which saves the consumption of the fuel by means of the smoothness of the gas engine. It should give a satisfactory good mileage.

You need to specify what you are wanting to tow. Depending on what kinda of weight you are pulling different vehicle may be better suited than other.

I would say the New Ford F-150 would be your best choice. They have always been dependable but now get 21 MPG highway as well.

you need to find out what the tow weight is. also, compare vehicles to their tow capacity. then you can determine vehicle selection.
