A context diagram is a way of displaying graphically how the different parts of a computer program or other system interact. It shows how inputs from the outside are processed, and is in some ways similar to a block diagram. They can be created using PowerPoint or drawing tools.

This is a data flow diagram. Usually you draw them out first. The center being the Command Executive, then you have bubbles with Command Capture, Telemetry Output, Command Time-line and Other Elements. You then link these balloons together with various channels of the data will travel in. Sometimes linking back and forth in some cases.

Context diagrams are used to show the interaction between the external actors and the system. Context diagrams uses only two symbols. They are labelled boxes and the relationships. The labelled boxes are used to represent the internal and external actors. The relationships are used to give a proper relation between the actors.
