A casual drinker is a person who has one or more drinks, usually through the course of some social function. She does not have to have alcohol on a regular, continuous, basis. A casual drinker may overindulge, but this is not a regular habit, and usually does not adversely affect their work and social lives.

Generally a casual drinker is someone who definitely does not drink every day. Typically they would drink in social settings such as at parties, dinner functions, or when they are entertaining guests. It would not be considered excessive and usually would not result in becoming drunk each time.
