Cocaine that is snorted into the nose coats the nasal passage. There it is absorbed into the blood stream through the permeable nasal tissues. From there it moves via the blood into the brain.

The mucus lining of your nasal cavities is permeable to many substances, including cocaine. The blood vessels are just on the other side of the membrane and molecules that are small enough can transfer. This is also how they delivered the flu vaccine this last year.

Cocaine is a substance obtained from the leaves of the coca plant. It is extracted and turn into powder form for human consumption. When inhaled cocaine powder will go through your nostrils and it is absorbed into your bloodstream. Cocaine is the second most popular illegal recreational drug in the United States.
