If you do not go to a required hearing, it is almost certain that you will lose the case and be held liable for the debt.

The court views that as you are not contesting the debt and you would be found to owe the money. They could then garnish your wages and a judgment would be issued and put on your credit report.

Failure to appear for a hearing will result in the court ruling in favor of the credit card company, which can then begin the process of collecting on the judgment.

If you don't show for a court summons you could be held in contempt of court. You will more likely lose any judgment involved by default as well.
