What happens if I wrote down the wrong deposit amount by mistake?

Most of the time banks will correct and notify you of the amount and incorrections. Sometimes they can even put a hold on your account or charge you the missing amount. So if you think this may help you slip through cracks and gain. Sorry, but not going to happen.

If your deposit (credit) doesn't equal the checks and/or cash (debits) that you are depositing, the bank will adjust your account and send you a notice. All transactions are balanced.
