What happened to Atlantis City?

Supposedly, Atlantis was destroyed in a massive earthquake and flood. However, there is no solid evidence that such a place actually existed to begin with. The best evidence points to Atlantis being created by Plato to illustrate an idea in a discussion with students. If Atlantis had been real, there should have been solid evidence found by now.

Atlantis city sunk into the sea because it was a naval power and there enemies attacked it until it sunk.
