The Reticular Action System is a filter system in your brain that filters out information that is important to you. It locks out everything that is not important to you, there fore assist you in acheiving your goals. You make the goal, RAS filters, you acheive!!!!

The reticular action system is a part of the brain that filters out the things that aren't significant to you, and keeps the things (helps you to notice) the things that are important to you.

It comes into play when we come across a new idea or a new product such as a type of automobile and suddenly we notice that idea or object everywhere.
