It's possible that some women have periods a few months into thier preganancy but more likely it was light spotting. As long as this issue has been brought up to a doctor and cleared by them, there is usually no need to worry.

It wouldn't have been periods, as periods are she shedding of cervical lining after ovulation, and you don't ovulate while pregnant. It was more than likely irregular bleeding and you would need to ask your health care provider about it because any bleeding during pregnancy is a sign of miscarriage.

This is a possibility though it is very remote. It is also possible to get pregnant while you are pregnant, though this is a very unlikely situation. The siblings would be born most likely at the same time, with the younger being premature at birth. It is more likely to have some spotting and slight bleeding that isn't a period.

Someone who continues to bleed during pregnancy is often mistaking pregnancy spotting, implantation bleeding and possible complications with the pregnancy for their periods. There is no way to be pregnant and have an actual period, if your sister is bleeding she should seek medical assistance to ensure nothing is wrong with the baby
