This depends largely on the type of meditation that you have chosen. For example, in the Rainbow Meditation (Hanovi Bradockk), it is one of the colors at the end of the sequence, leading you into calmness and serenity. Ultimately, however, this mostly has to do with how you perceive purple. Comfort is typical, however.

Seeing purple means that your third has opened. It is also a sign that you are very good at meditation. Purple also means that you are comfortable in the present.

The color purple indicates a deep connection to the spiritual realms. When in deep meditation the 7th chakra is open and you can see through it. It is often referred to as your "third eye" being open. Usually the color purple is very dark, almost black. White and gold are also very common colors seen during meditation.

In Eastern culture it's believed that the body has seven major energy centers, called chakras. Each chakra has a color associated with it and represents different aspects of the spiritual self. Purple is associated with the crown chakra, at the top of the head, which is associated with your connection to the universe. So your meditation is going great!

I think it means nothing but you really believe in energy. Purple is a colour in chakra power spectrum and maybe you start to see everything in energy. No i'm kidding maybe because of your meditating position, you couldn't take enough oxygen so this can be shown by this symptom.

Its got nothing to do with not taking enough oxygen, breathing is one of the primary functions during meditation.  add a comment

You are not delving deep into it. You loose concentration when you are in the process and try making sense of what you see.

I, too, see dark purple. Just starting to meditate and trying to find out where I am at the point of seeing purple. If I don't see purple, I see white. I didn't know this meant anything, but now have been enlightened to the fact that Im doing good.

p3 It is also important to work on the other Chakra's so that there is no imbalance, having the higher chakra's open and not having develop or worked on issues on the other chakra's can cause problems. For many years experienced the dark purple and white light in yoga &meditation.

I saw fuzzy purple circles, flying away from me, as if I was looking out of the rear window of a plane that was flying through these purple clouds every 1.5 seconds. I couldn't suppress my laughter when I saw it, such a nice experience!
