Everyone is entitled to a fair trial and the opportunity to defend themselves against charges. Until a court decides, based on all evidence presented, that an individual is guilty, that person is presumed innocent, regardless of all evidence to the contrary.

Innocent until proven guilty is a 'burden of proof' statement - the burden of proof is on the accuser, not the accused.

It is the American version of the Justice System. In Brittan you were assumed guilty and had to prove your innocence. The opposite is true here in America.
