What does a Ruffian horse look like?

Ruffian was a famous black filly and champion thoroughbred, nearly 17 hands high with what was described as "spidery" legs. She was severely injured and later euthanized after a race in 1975. Any recognized breed would most likely be based on her lineage.

The last I knew, Ruffian was a Thoroughbred filly who broke down on the track. I am not aware of Ruffian being an actual breed.
