Question by  melissab (1)

What do you think about me running away to Queensland with my boyfriend and not telling my parents?

My parents don't like him and don't want me to be around him. I thought I would leave a note so I don't have to argue. I need tips and ideas and thought on this plan.

If your parents don't like him, there is probably a good reason why. They probably see something in him that you don't, or perhaps don't see what you do see in him. It's not a good idea. You should sit down with your parents and talk to them about it.

You would take off with a boyfriend who supports a plan to violate your parents' wishes and sever those ties? He has no respect for you or them. Your parents are forever. Statistically, the boyfriend is not. I can guarantee: you'll regret it, and probably sooner rather than later.

I think that if you are not mature enough to talk to your parents about your boyfriend situation, then you are surely not grown up enough to run off!

This is not a good idea! You will regret doing this so please don't. Talk to your parents, tell the truth, ask them why they don't like him.

No way! Just ask your parents why they don't like him and maybe you'll agree. Try to persuade them and tell them all the good things about your boyfriend.
