The expiration dates on pork are sell by dates. Pork products should be prepared or frozen by the date listed on the packaging.

The meat expiration dates should be a sell date, but personally I would not buy anything that expires the same day it is sold. If you are not going to cook your meat within 2 days, it should go straight to the freezer to avoid the meat going bad and having to throw it away.

This is a sell by date. It would be wise not to eat it beyond a week of this date, unless you have kept it frozen.

Meat expiration dates on pork mean the consume by date. If you are unable to eat it before the consume by date, then you may freeze it. The pork will still be good after the consume by date IF it is frozen before the consume by date has passed.

All meats come with an expiration date. For pork this date means the consumer should consume or freeze it. If you choose to cook the meat after the expiration date remember to smell the pork. It shouldnt smell sour.
