When people talk about fetal sounds usually that means that they are talking about hearing the heart beat of the fetus. This usually starts happening around the 13th week of the gestational period of the baby. Doctors listen to the fetal sounds to check on the baby and its heart beat.

Fetal sounds is a term used to describe the sounds heard from your child in the womb. The sounds they speak of are that of the child's heartbeat and movement though at times such things as hiccups can be heard. These sounds usually are heard after 28 weeks and through a fetal doppler device.

When people talk about Fetal sounds they are generally talking about the baby's heartbeat during an ultra sound. It's also possible to hear your own heartbeat or your blood flowing when the doctor checks the baby's heartbeat. Sometimes you can even hear sounds from the Placenta as it swooshes around.

Fetal sounds can be heard via an stethoscope, they occur when the baby moves around inside the females uterus. They occur as a result of the water and swishing around in side. They can also be detected on some ultrasounds. Fetal sounds occur in all pregnancies and at times can be heard if you put your ear up to stomach.
