The care is more diffcult depending on the breed. If you want a lizard easy to take care of keep a bearded dragon in mind. Lizards tanks depend on the size of the lizard. usually the smaller ones would eat crickets but bigger ones would eat mice or feeder fish.

First you should buy a good book about the particular lizards. Different lizards care may differ a little. You will need like a big aquarium with a light and heated rocks. Their accessories can be expensive. Most lizards eat crickets but they must be alive. Remember your lizards will grow so choose their home big enough.

I would say that they are alot different than mammals, cats, dogs, rabbits, etc. So they have different needs. especially dietary. Don't lizzards eat bugs. You better find out exactly what reptiles need.
