What do I need to connect my Korg Triton to my computer in order to use the sound editor?

If your computer has a midi interface or a joystick connection (many old computers do) you only need an appropriate cable to setup the connection using your Korg's Midi IN and Midi OUT. If not, you may buy a simple USB Midi Interface, which will cost you between 30 and 40$

insert usb software disks insert one end of five pin midi cable in to "midi out" on back of korg triton insert opposite end of midi cable into "midi in" on your usb midi interface insert usb into usb port for transmit midi select "global mod" and choose "external midi"

Your Triton can be connected to your computer using a Midi interface (using Midi IN and Midi OUT connectors). There are also USB MIDI cables if your computer doesn't have a Midi interface (like a recent laptop). This way you will be able to use a sound editor like TriEditPro.

You need a connector to join the two so they can work together. If they are not connected then you cannot use the sound editor.

You need a MIDI interface. This can be standalone (USB), or on a sound card (the joystick port). You also need a MIDI cable.

Most keyboards now have a couple different types of connectors. In order to connect it to your computer however, you'll need to look for a MIDI connection, and make sure you computer can take it as well.

If you want to edit the sound of the Triton in your computer you need to connect the Tritons output to the sound cards line-in 3.5mm jack and record.

You need an 3.5MM audio cable connected between Korg Triton audio output and computer audio input(mic), you may find the computer audio input at the back or in front of your computer, and find the audio output from the back of the Korg Triton.
