A melted electrical connection is usually a sign that you're running your wires on overload. You should check and update your electrical box and fuses. Contact an electrical specialist for proper inspections. You should then replace the cords and connections that have been melted. You can do this yourself, or take them to a repair shop.

If you find a melted connection, this could be the cable was not fully tightened in the terminal clamp which causes overheating due to the high resistance of the connection. To rectify, isolate the supply and disconnect the cable, cut away discoloured cable and remake the connection, if the terminal is burnt clean up by scraping away carbon.

The melted elecrical connection is due to the development of high resistance in the joints in the wiring. Over time the elecrical connection points gets heated and oxidized . The oxides coating has high electrical resistance and the points may melt due to heating. Just rub the oxides off .
