The US Dollar is generally accepted among economists as the strongest currency as its value has fluctuated the least over recent decades, however the Euro continues to grow in strength and some may now argue, in light of the recent economic downturn that it has now become the strongest.

Additionally when developing countries seek to fixed (or peg) their currency against enough to provide certainty for international trade and investment, it is usually the USD to which the domestic currency is fixed. add a comment

It depends what you mean by strongest. The currency that is currently worth the most in comparison to other currencies is the Kuwaiti Dinar, closely followed by the Bahraini dollar.

Britain has the strongest currency known as the Euro. It is used by so many countries for buying and selling purposes. Strong currency is bought by people in business transactions for effectiveness

Great Britain uses the Pound Sterling and not the Euro. Although Britain is part of the European Union (EU), it is not part of the EuroZone, that is the collection of countries including: France; Germany; Spain; Greece; Austria; Portugal; which use the Euro. add a comment
