If you take a pain medicine and your P. T. requires you to be in a standing position, you may be too sleepy to do so or you could fall, injuring yourself more. Muscle relaxers make people dizzy so falling is a possibility. As a nurse I have seen this happen.

It depends on what therapy and medicines you are taking. Some medicines can cause body conditions that will make therapy more difficult to perform. Others will have no effect whatsoever.

The physician who ordered your physical therapy should be aware of all medications you are taking. It is very common to be taking meds while in physical therapy. You should haven't any ill effects.

What type of medicine are you taking? Is this a medicine that your doctor has prescribed for you? If you Are concerned about taking medicine while in physical therapy I would talk with my doctor and discuss these concerns with him or her. I hope this helps
