Autoimmune disorders such as lupus erythematosis and rheumatoid arthritis can cause these symptoms. Lupus patients often present with a "butterfly-shaped" rash across their face and several aching joints.

There are may health conditions that can cause rash and joint pain at the same time. The conditions are juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatic fever, systemic lupus erythematosus, shingles, lyme disease, fifth disease, measles, chickenpox, sarcoidosis, rubella, poliomyelitis, dermatomyositis, mononeuclosis, adult Still's disease, gonococcemia-disseminated, Kawasaki disease, Leukemia, ebola hemorrhagic fever, acute HIV infection, histoplasmosis, typhus, leptospirosis and dengue fever.

There are many reasons, causing rash and joint pain a the same time. Some of the reasons are, rheumatic fever, systemic lupus erythematosus, shingles, lyme disease, fifth disease, measles, chickenpox, sarcoidosis, rubella, poliomyelitis, dermatomyositis, mononucleosis, adult Sill's disease, gonococcemia - disseminated, kawasaki disease, leukemia, histoplasmosis, typhus and dengue fever.

One probable cause of rash and joint is fibromyalgia which is a syndrome of people experiencing long-term, body-wide pain and tender points in joints, muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues.
