This can be caused by dehydration in an extreme case which would cramp the muscles of your feet and hands. More than likely this is caused by overexertion of the muscles in the feet and hands and your muscles are cramping and spasming to help compensate. Eat a few bananas and see if you see a difference.

Sometimes, pain in your feet or hands can be caused by repetitive motion. Exercises like running, aerobics, tennis and similar motions can cause pain in your feet. Cramping in your hands might be caused by repetitive activities like sewing or cutting small things. Of course, the best thing to do is check with your doctor.

Repetitive motion and incorrect position in office work can cause this. Medications or supplements can cause this side effect. Cramping is often relieved by potassium, ie a banana a day.
