What could be wrong if my Panasonic microwave stops during a cooking cycel?

Two to three minutes into cooking or heating something in my microwave it turns itself off.

I'm making a guess here but if it has a thermal fuse it may be overheating and shuts the microwave off to protect it from destruction - have it checked out by an authorized microwave oven technician.

May be the circuit has been blown. It usually is a problem in the electric flow from the outlet to the appliance. Try switching it into another outlet so you would know which has a problem. If it would still not work, try to contact their customer services for advice.

The easy answer is that your microwave is broken, and this is probably the best answer you'll need. Microwaves are relatively inexpensive these days and unless it's covered under warranty, you will find that it is probably more expensive to diagnose and fix the problem with the microwave than to just buy a new one.

It is possible that there is something wrong the the control panel of your microwave. You could try taking it out and troubleshooting it yourself but mostly likely this is a repair best left to the professionals. Ask what the cost involved is before hand because it might be cheaper to just get a new microwave.

Your microwave is more than likely going out. You could get this checked out but your best bet would be to buy another one.

This sounds like a temperature problem. The microwave is overheating and a breaker is kicking in and turning the appliance off. This is a good thing, as the breaker is preventing a fire or explosion. Call a technician to come out and fix it or buy another one.
