The unit either needs a freon recharge or there is some part that has broken that needs to be repaired.

Their are 2 reasons that an central AC wont cool the air. The first is that their is no coolant gas and second might be the fan is not working.

You may have a freon leak in the system. Most AC companies will offer a free assessment of your system and inform you of problems. Just get a second opinion.

First check your main breaker to make sure it didn't trip. You could be a little low on freon. This could cause your A/C not to cool.

The freon for the AC condenser might be insufficient or the room is not well insulated and drawing hot air faster than AC's cooling capacity.
