Allergies can cause itching. Sometimes contact allergies - things you touch, or systemic allergies like things you eat or breathe can cause itching. You should see a medical professional for diagnosis.

This could be from a variety of reasons. A common itch is caused from dryness, which is cured by using a lotion and apply each time you take a shower. When you shower try using a cooler temp. of water. Detergants can also irritate the skin.

Your skin could be itching from an allergic reaction to something like the soap that you use to wash your clothing with, soap that you bathe with, or it could be just plain old dry skin. Try to use some lotion and see if that helps and make sure nothing has changed with your soaps.

It is most likely due to simple dry skin. Try a non fragranced lotion or even an anti itch creme to see if that helps. Stress can also cause itchy skin and even allergies. It could be from your laundry detergeant or even something to do with your diet. Try using less detergeant to see if that helps.

Three things that are not medical could cause your itching. First an allergic reaction. Take an allergy test. Second is plants. Some plants like poison ivy creat oils that we are allergic to. When we touch them we get itchy spots that if we scratch will lead to spreading and redness. Third is dry skin. Solve with lotion.

It sounds like you're having an allergic reaction. Body chemistry can change with age or you can develop a reaction to things like dry cleaning chemicals or fabric softeners.
