Lots of things can cause this, one of the worse ones that people are not aware of is smoking, also dry skin anytime of year but winter is worse another cause is exposure to the sun that can cause lines and wrinkles to form much earlier in life than if people would just take the time to use sunblock.

Generally overall dryness causes cracks in the corner of your mouth. Try drinking more water (32 oz per day). Also try lip balm and face and body lotion (having the rest of your skin moisturized will help).

Your mouth could be dry as a result of a lack of vitamins and minerals in your body. In addition you may be in the sun too much.
