What considerations do I need to make when house hunting if I have asthma?

I have severe asthma and need to know what to look for in my next house.

Ask the current homeowners if there are allergens which you are allergic to in the house (i. e. animals, perfurmes used, etc. ), and then go from there. As part of your inspection, you might want to mention it to the person who is performing it, to make sure there aren't any.

Don't buy a house with landscaping or severe pet dander that you are allergic to. Get a home that is easy to clean.

Avoid carpeting if at all possible. You should also closely inspect the air conditioning system, and make sure it is clean. Be on the lookout for any mold, as well.

asthmas is caused by body's immune system recognising that something foreign is in the body. The body responds by surrounding that the foreign matter with mucus so that the matter can be removed from the body; in the lungs, bladder or intestings. Be well. bye.
