Rumbling noises in your stomach can come from a few common-sense causes. One of those causes is that your stomach makes noise as it digests food. If you have a willing friend, put your ear to their stomach after they eat and you can hear the digestion of their food in action.

There are various reasons for that to happen. The primary reason could be you are hungry. The other reason is too much of water in your stomach. And, sometimes if you have had a heavy lunch or heavy dinner you can hear your stomach making these kind of noises when it is trying to digest the high quantities of food.

A rumbling stomach indicates you are hungry. However, even if you are not hungry, just the thought of food can cause your digestive track to react because it signals the brain that food is on its way.
