Just as with any other exercise program, there has to be a period of recovery. In the beginning, you should walk three days per week and then work up to four days when the recovery period after each day becomes shorter. Work your way up to everyday slowly, so that the work that is done is not spoiled.

This is due to your leg muscles working and supporting your body weight while walking. If it is bothering you, you can try different exercises where your won't have that problem, such as working out in a pool.

Fatigue causes legs to feel tired when walking. Your legs are tired, but they will evetually get used to it. If you keep up your walking routine, your legs will get used to it, and you will be able to walk for longer without any pain or heaviness.

The cause for legs to feel heavy when walking may be due to your over weight. Just straighten your leg before walking. Kneel forward hardly.
