You will need a wireless router, some fore of compatible receiver such of a plug in receiver, or a built in WIFI card. Many laptops, desktops, printers, and even televisions have built in WIFI capabilities. It is very important to use a security password.

The wifi router should be placed at the highest point it would be used. The farther away or the most connected computers there are, the weaker the signal. Wifi is not completely secure, and it should be password protected.

This is a great way to share broadband internet service between computers in your home. Wireless routers are reasonably priced in the neighborhood of $50. 00.

Sometimes using wifi around your house can be very aggervating. If the weather is bad then you may not get a good signal. Or, if you don't have good reception in your house then you may have to sit in a certain place in order for the wifi to work.

Well basically using wifi around the house is very convenient. You can travel with your laptop anywhere around the house an access the internet and use blue tooth technology as well. If you have other wi fi devices like a phone and ipod touch you can also use the internet from them.

It is convenient and awesome. You just have to make sure you set up a WEP encryption because you don't want others to have access to your wifi server. I love WIFI and especially with laptops, things are super convenient. I also think all you need to worry about is security. But other than that, it's great.

To connect to a wifi network in your home you must have internet service and a wireless router. You need to set up a network name and password and enter that information on your computer. If you are having problems connecting try resetting your router.

The better your wireless router, the better the signal it will put out. Put it away from any other wireless devices to keep the signal strong.

Wifi is great for the internet, you can be in the kitchen and have online recipes without printing them, or you can be outside and read the news. Wifi for files transfer from computer to computer is quite slow unfortunately, for that you better use a good old cable.
