What can you tell me about Cubism and Picasso?

Picasso and his good friend Braque were the co founders of cubism. Started in paris in the early 1900's. There are different types of cubism- synthetic and analytical. Analytical cubism is usually montoned colors and is about viewing one object from mutiple view points all at the same time. Synthetic cubism is more colorful

Picasso was thought to have started Cubism but actually Georges Braque developed this African inspired style of art in the early 1900's. Picasso painted Les Demoiselles d'Avignon in 1907 depicting women figures in the characteristic features of cubism. The figures are geometically broken apart in abstration and recreated in a three dimentional expression.
