Air conditioning wiring is very simple. There is usually power supply just to the pump and regulator. The only additional wiring is to the in home temperature sensors.

wiring for an air conditioner is broken down into low voltage and high voltage in most residential systems. More commonly than not the low voltage, or "control voltage" is used to control relays through safety switches for specific functions (heat, cool, fan.) While the high voltage is used to run components such as the fans, and compressor.

On a 4 wire air conditioning installation, the yellow wire is used to bring in the AC contactor. It makes a connection from the R wire in the thermostat to the contactor from the transformer in the AC. The common is back to the transformer.

The best thing I can tell you is to get a book on your conditioner. They are all so different and you have wires going to different relays and everything that it can be confusing. You are also going to have one hot and one ground for the power but everything else is a fuse wire.

Air conditioner wiring is how you make sure that everything is connected properly to the air conditioner. Depending your air conditioner will determine the wiring used.
