The first thing to do when a dog is choking is to look inside its mouth and see if the object is visible. If it is, try to remove it. If you are unable to do so, perform the Heimlich maneuver on the dog. If your dog stop breathing on its own, perform artificial respiration.

Lift the dog's nose towards the ceiling and rub your hand up and down on his throat. This will cause the throat to be a straight line and the rubbing can help to force the food down.

you should check and see if anything is obstructing the airway visibly, if so remove it, if not i'd bring the dog to the vet ASAP!

The safest and quickest way to remove anything that is blocking you're dogs throath is by performing the Heimlich maneuver on it. Repeat it as often as is necessary. Only in extreme cases you should be attempting to remove the blocking with your fingers, because the dog could bite you accidentally.
