A lot of vegetables cook best in a steamer pot. Broccoli and artichokes are especially good steamed. Most vegetables can be steamed to perfection. Also, seafoods such as crab can often be steamed.

A steamer pot is great for cooking some vegetables, e.g. broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. Fish is another item that can be prepared using this method. Steaming helps food retain maximum nutritional content and flavor. You will have to experiment to find the ideal length of time to steam each item.

A steamer pot is a great way to cook all kinds of vegetables. Slice up some broccoli and thin carrot slices, put them in the steamer, and you've got a fine side dish. Spinach, mushrooms, and zucchini can also be steamed. Finally, you can steam any whitefish; try putting a little ginger on top for an Asian feel.

You can cook anything that you want to steam in a steamer pot. I typically steam vegetables. My favorites are broccoli and cauliflower. You can steam cubed potatoes to make your mashed potatoes lighter and fluffier. I will also steam frozen vegetables straight from the package to cook them without making them soggy.
