Microdermabrasion along with tretinoin prescribed by a dermatologist can minimize the width of stretch marks and blend them in to the surrounding skin. There are also several new laser treatments available, although finding a doctor that has the advanced lasers can be a challenge.

There is no way to prevent stretch marks. Although they do not affect everyone, they are prevalent in pregnant women and people who have rapidly gained weight. Purple stretch marks fade to white ih time and will be less noticeable. New laser procedures, though promising, have not been perfected and can not guarantee 100% removal.

There are certain cremes such as coco butter, that over time can reduce your stretch marks. There are also other more surgical methods, such as "stretch mark surgery", or a Tummy Tuck.

As far as stretch marks they kind of go with weight gain and loss. There is really nothing you can do about them it all depends on the kind of skin you have if you will even get them but rest assured in time they fade out on their own.

There are a fair few skin treatment products that address stretch marks now on the market, but should be used with a realistic expectation of success.
