pain

What can cause severe pain in top of my back in the middle of the night when I'm on my back?

It gets better during the day. I'm a 27-year-old married female who works on the computer . I did physiotherapy, took pain killers, and have seen no improvement. Please suggest exercises.

If pain is the only symptom, then you can probably rule out a pinched nerve. This could be a variety of disorders including a slipped disc. Consider yoga and light stretching to improve your core. If the problem is muscular, you may be able to benefit from massage therapy. Also, think about investing in an ergonomic pillow.

Simple exercised that can relieve midday tension include head rolls, shoulder lifts, shoulder rolls. I had similar issues and found great success with "network" chiropractics.

Abnormal posturing during work might be the cause as this can over a period of time affect normal spinal curvature. You need to start with upright posturing & muscle strengthening exercises.

Look into a new mattress. Also look into the type of shoes you are wearing. I found that I can only wear a heal that is 1 1/2 inches high and its better when its a wedge heel. Maybe one leg is shorter then the other and need a gel sole in one shoe to balance you out.
