Depicting the human form is considered taboo so there are no portraits in Islamic religion. The two acceptable art forms are that of nature and geometry. Mosque architecture focuses on geometry and clean lines.

The two acceptable art forms for Muslims are geometric patterns and calligraphy. Geometric patterns are even used in mosques. Calligraphy is acceptable, and decorative writing is even used in the Koran.
