Red dots in a feline's ear can mean many things. The most common however is Ear Mites. They tend to look like little tiny red bumps, but are really the bites of the Ear Mites. The mites themselves are usually black. Either way, any change is cause to take your pet to the Vet.

I used to sell Pet Insurance and have heard of this happening. It is quite likely your cat has a case of ear mites and is having a reaction to them.

Many cats with itchy ears actually have skin allergies. If the skin is bad then ask your pet's doctor.

I believe they are tiny red mites. You need to make an appointment to take your cat to the vet's office to make sure. You should definitely get it looked at to rule out other possible causes.
