Chanterelles, hen of the woods, bollettes, morels, wood hedgehogs, and puffballs and are all types of mushrooms that grow in the wild. If you are interested in learning more about mushroom foraging you should buy a book and find a class on the subject. Be very careful, because if you are inexperienced it is easy to mistake a poisonous mushoom!

There are many types of edible mushrooms in the wild. Caution should be considered, as many good mushroom species are similar to poisonous species. One of the favorites is the Morel mushroom. They grow in spring, and are excellent fried. Oyster mushrooms are also popular. Lions mane mushrooms are said to taste like lobster when steamed and dipped in butter.

Wild mushrooms may vary depending on where you are located, but my favorite is the morel. These have spongey caps and are very flavorful.

Unless you really know your mushrooms, you should never eat wild mushrooms. There are poisoness versions that are very difficult to tell apart.

You should really watch out with wild mushrooms as some of then are poisonous while resembling the regular ones. I would advise against using wild mushrooms yourself.
