Your company should be well aware of specific challenges in each country. Challenges include the language, customs, work ethic, workforce, traditions and attitudes towards American business. Cultural differences, understanding them and implementing change to accommodate those differences is key.

Some of the unique challenges one would face are proof of birth...age, gender, etc. Other difficulties might include finding loyal, honest, dependable and motivated staff. If one is not used to or knowledgeable about the people and customs in a particular international region, one would have to be wary of dishonest and sneaky workers.

The challenges of remote team work are multiplied by cultural differences and time zone differentials. Language may also be a barrier. If selecting staff in other countries, you must hire those who can make decisions thousands of miles from their supervisors.

Hiring staff from different countries has its disadvantages. Ones cultures, languages and the traditions they believe are aspects that you have to consider. Some cannot adjust easily on the area they are assigned into, one cannot understand fully what his employer or co employee wants due to language differences. But people eventually will learn and adjust.

When hiring an international staff there could be issues involving language barriers, cultural clashes, and general differences in work ethics. It may also be difficult to coach an international staff member on the best way to represent a company's ethics to customers.
