Typhoid fever is contracted when you get salmonella and symptoms last four to six weeks. During this time, the infected person will experience most if not all of the following; lack of appetite, headache, aches, fever, lethargy and diarrhea. The fever associated with this can be pretty high, up to 104 or 105 Fahrenheit.

Commony symptoms of typhoid fever include a very high fever, usually in the 103 to 104 range. Severe headache, abdominal pain, nausea and diarrhea are also common. If left untreated you can suffer life threatening complications.
