Statistics for breast cancer is lots better than the past. Seem like one woman out of five gets it. It is a family situation lots of time. It's in the genes and it passes on down. Your doctor need to know your family history to keep you hopefully from getting it.

Right now, organizations like American Cancer Society and Komen for the Cure are saying that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer over the course of their lifetime. Statistics show that most of those women are over age 50, but more young women are being diagnosed.

About 1 or 2 out of five get breast cancer now-a-days. It's one of the easier cancers to detect early due to it running in the family.
