What are the signs that you need a new motor mount?

The first thing you will notice is a bad clunk when u put the vehicle into gear,the engine is rocking when you shift.

Noise is probably the first sign of a bad motor mount. If the mount is shot to the point that the engine isn't sitting levely the engine may run rough too.

Well if you can see it and it looks like the bushing is gone then it is probably bad. If there is a lot of side to side play then are probably bad. Also if there is heavy vibration while the car is stopped it could be bad.

Too much vibration transmitted by the motor to the body/chassis. There is also an annoying sound of a metal friction. the rubber is all worn out.
