A Visa is not needed if you are a citizen of the United States. You can enter simply by showing your passport and the "migration Form for Tourists, Transmigrants, Visiting Businesspersons, or Visiting Consultants. " That is a form you can obtain from your travel agent or airline. It is also available at your point of entry in to the coutnry.

For a Mexican tourist visa you need to complete an Mexican tourist visa application ,that requires evidence of sufficient funds for stay and a money tax.

Passport having 6 months validity remaining and copy of passport. Completely filled ans signed 1 application form. 2 Recent and color photographs. Copy of alien registration card,if the applicant is resident alien copy both front and back. Onward/return ticket or itinerary with confirmation. Proof of hotel reservation and financial support.
