I need to know if you mean alcohol or firearms. Both can vary not only from state to state, but county or town. Both can cause you serious problems. With handguns, you often have to prove need, such as carrying cash. Both have age requirements. Consult your local police department.

A "carry law" concerns the rights of individuals to carry firearms. "Concealed carry" is about carrying a weapon that is not visible and "open carry" is about carrying a weapon in plain sight.

Its a shorthand term for openly carrying a firearm in public which is different from concealed carry. Its also called open display. The laws vary by state and range from permissive open carry to non-permissive open carry states.
