A general rule for zoned plants is to check the garden center, normally they will not carry anything that cannot be grown in your area. If they do not have them in sight still ask to find out, the employees can even tell you if they can be grown in yoru area even if they do not have them in.

You can expect to grow these lovely cold weather annuals if you live in the zones of USDA 7 and higher. These Ice Pansies are great in the cooler weather climates and can withstand the snow bound states as well. Try to put them in partial sun for best growth.

USDA Zone 7 and above can grow pansies throughout the winter and there are fewer varieties, like the Ice Pansy, bred to withstand light snow.

Spring early summer, with some repeat bloom in the fall. USDA Zones 7 and above can grow pansies throughout the winter and newer varieties, like the ice pansy, bred to withstand light snow. 'Nature Plum Purple' is a new introduction for 2007 that is bred to be both heat and cold tolerant. Look for seed and give it a try.
